In the ever-evolving landscape of modern work, the design of workplace environments plays a crucial role in shaping employee experience, productivity, and overall satisfaction. As organisations strive to create spaces that foster innovation, collaboration, and wellbeing, there is a growing need for evidence-based approaches to workplace design. This research delves into our pioneering Work Science research which combines scientific methodologies with design-led innovation to create human-centric workspaces that unlock human potential.

Work Science represents a paradigm shift in how we approach workplace design and experience. By integrating insights from neuroscience, cognitive tests, and surveys, we aim to create work environments that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also drive performance through improvements in wellbeing, creativity, and engagement.

When we redesigned and relocated our JLL Tokyo office, we took the opportunity to use our own experience to examine work environments, cognitive processes, and human factors.

From this research, we were able to prove how the new workplace impacted employee experience, wellbeing, productivity, and overall satisfaction.
